Built to be the kind of marketing partner organizations actually need.

Ryssa Alarcon founded HatHouse Marketing after seeing the same challenge time and time again: business owners and nonprofit leaders knew marketing was important, but they often didn’t have the time, internal resources, or expertise to do it well.

For more than a decade, Ryssa has helped organizations grow through strategic marketing, brand development, communications, fundraising, and business development. She has led initiatives that have grown brands, exceeded revenue targets, supported major fundraising campaigns, and helped organizations navigate periods of growth and transformation. Since 2020, she has partnered with more than 15 organizations as an independent marketing consultant, providing the kind of senior-level strategic support that many businesses need but don’t require full-time.

HatHouse Marketing is the natural evolution of that work. Built on the belief that organizations shouldn’t have to wear every marketing hat themselves, HatHouse provides flexible, experienced marketing leadership tailored to each client’s unique needs. Whether developing a brand from the ground up, leading digital campaigns, creating communications strategies, or supporting executive teams and boards, Ryssa combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution to deliver measurable results.

Known for her versatility and collaborative approach, Ryssa stays ahead of emerging marketing trends, technology, and AI to ensure her clients remain competitive in a rapidly evolving landscape. Clients don’t simply gain a marketing consultant—they gain a trusted partner who is genuinely invested in their long-term success.

Ryssa holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Georgia Southwestern State University and a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing (High Honours with Great Distinction) from the Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan. She has continued to build her expertise through professional certifications in Digital Marketing (Bluemoose Media), HubSpot AI for Marketers, and Content Marketing Strategy (University of California, Davis), reflecting her commitment to staying at the forefront of an ever-evolving industry.

Outside of her client work, Ryssa has always believed that great marketing can create meaningful community impact. She is the recipient of the 2022 YWCA Saskatoon Women of Distinction Award and has also been recognized through the IABC Communication Management Awards, the Co-operators Leadership Award, and several business association honours. She has been invited to speak at universities, entrepreneurship events, and industry conferences, sharing her experience in marketing, leadership, and business growth.
